Vision Correction
The most common conditions we treat are those which cause our patients to experience blurry vision. We accurately measure refractive error (focusing problems) and then prescribe appropriate eyeglasses or contact lenses. We also educate our patients about corrective surgical options such as LASIK and cataract surgery for those who may be good candidates for such procedures.
Our affiliated vision centers in Idaho Falls and Pocatello/Chubbuck have a broad selection of eyeglass frames and lens options and also have many contact lenses in stock at great prices. Contact lenses not available in stock can be ordered as needed with prompt delivery, including mail-order options.
Dry Eye
Dry Eye is very common and unfortunately, often undiagnosed or poorly managed. Symptoms include chronic or intermittent redness, irritation, stinging, burning, foreign body sensation, blurry vision and paradoxical watering (reflex tearing). In order to treat patients with dry eye, it is first necessary to understand the underlying cause(s) of dry eye, which can range from poor gland function in the eyelids to serious systemic disease.
Our experience in dry eye disorders has led to very positive outcomes in many of our patients who entered our practice with a long and complicated history of dry eye. Our approach incudes a careful health history and thorough ophthalmologic examination of the ocular surface. Treatment approaches can range from simply changing your brand of contacts to use of lubricating drops or ointments, nutritional supplements, medications or punctal plugs (plugging the tear drainage network to better maintain the tear film on the eye).
Contact Lens Services
In most cases, we are able to offer patients new contact lenses in their updated prescription at the conclusion of their evaluation. We have the area’s widest variety of diagnostic contact lenses including lenses for patients with high myopia (nearsightedness) and hyperopia (farsightedness) as well as lenses for presbyopia (usually corrected by reading glasses or bifocals) and astigmatism.
Most contact prescriptions can be filled in very convenient daily, 2 week or monthly replacement products, though we do have many patients for whom rigid gas permeable lenses are a better option. We offer various products based on our patients’ needs, the expected performance aspects of each lens and our significant experience in contact lenses. After the initial visit, we follow-up as needed to ensure that our patients have the clearest vision and the best comfort possible.

Pain Management for Headaches
Headaches are another common complaint which causes many of our patients to seek medical care. While there are many conditions which can produce headache symptoms, we are highly skilled in evaluating headache symptoms and in managing those which are vision related.
Treatment of Computer Use Complex
Also known as Computer Vision Syndrome, which the American Optometric Association describes as "a group of eye and vision-related problems that result from prolonged computer use [where] individuals experience eye discomfort and vision problems when viewing a computer screen for extended periods." Symptoms often include eyestrain, headaches, blurred vision, dry eyes and neck and shoulder pain.
We understand the nature of these computer-related symptoms and have a high success rate in helping our patients to eliminate such difficulties related to their occupational, academic and recreational computer use.

Care Co-Management
Eye problems are for eye doctors. We have the expertise and specialized diagnostic equipment to evaluate and treat disorders and diseases of the eye including dry eye disease, ocular allergies, infections, chemical insults, foreign bodies and other injuries as well as diabetic eye disease and glaucoma.
Co-Management
When surgery is required, we educate our patients on their need for additional care and their surgical options and then make appropriate referrals to help them access the care they need. From there, we work closely with their surgeons to coordinate their care to ensure the best possible outcome and post-operative vision.
